What is Instructional Design?


It is the strategic planning of a course. Courses make up curriculum. Write-Line uses the ADDIE Model as the approach to creating instructional course materials. The acronym ADDIE stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate.

The Writing Process


Key elements of my content development process are:

 

 

Analyzing

Working to understand the objectives, audience, product, schedule, and deliverables. 

Designing

Defining all stages of development from start to finish and establishing a method to collect information based on the product development schedule. 

Progress Reporting

Following a responsible method of reporting progress. 

Content Development

Delivering relevant information clearly and concisely.  All information is substantiated before it is included. Subject matter reviews are conducted at critical points to verify documented content.

Graphics Development

Flow charts, graphics, screen shots, and illustrations are created and added.  

Quality Assurance

Quality assurance procedures are designed to ensure consistency in logic, message, and grammar throughout the documentation.

Implementing and Evaluating

Transferring of deliverables with goal achievement - approval assured.
